AAPI: The Art of Healing will provide a safe and supportive environment for young adults of Asian American and Pacific Islander descent, ages 18 – 35 to learn and process racial trauma, along with the physiological responses that occur when experiencing triggers or racially charged events. They will learn grounding techniques by engaging in mindfulness through art and play. Each session will also provide an outlet for participants to check in and share their own experiences of racial trauma.
Classes will explore; systemic racism, model minority theory, transgenerational & historical trauma, trauma responses, mental health stigma, self-care practices, termination/closing.
This is a workshop not therapy.
Me First – The Art of Self-Care is an interactive program designed help women lay the groundwork to move from self-care activities to a self-care lifestyle. During the workshop women will engage with other participants about their own challenges and success with their self-care practices. Women will be encouraged to examine their beliefs around; self-worth, setting boundaries, self-compassion, and forgiveness. Upon completion of the workshop women will walk away with their own Me First Action plan for success.

To encourage women to begin to explore the role of self-care in their life and how the practice of the Me First Philosophy can enhance their overall wellbeing.
